C I Host's Linux plans come pre-configured with mySQL. Should you choose one of our Windows packages, you will receive access to a SQL server or a Microsoft Access server.

Yes, we offer a basic Java-based chat room and a high-end Volano chat room. You can install other chat programs with permission from our support team.

Yes. You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day 365 days a year. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your website any time you wish.

Yes. We can alias (park) additional domains to point to the same main page as your master domain and it will also share the same mail system. There is a one-time $25.00 set-up fee and $5 per month for each domain you add as an alias.

Yes, by utilizing our Fake IP addon. It is a CGI-based tool that provides the ability to point additional domains to subdirectories of your main domain. There is a one-time $35.00 set-up fee and $10 per month for each domain you add as a Fake IP.

We currently house domains from over 150+ countries, and can house any valid domain name extension. Currently we offer domain name registration services only for .com, .net and .org extensions. In the Reseller Control Center, you will find a "Foreign" link, which is a useful resource page linking to most registration services around the world.

You do. We provide easy-to-use registration forms that work in conjunction with C I Host's Domain Name Services domain registration databases. Any domain that is submitted through our registration forms is setup within 4 hours.

Every month we send you an email invoice/statement for the charges that you have accrued for that month. The statement will list all the details of your account and our options to pay. If you have elected to pay with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) your account will be automatically billed. If you wish to pay with a check or a wire transfer you will have 7 days to tender payment to C I Host.

No, you will need to contact your local Internet Service Provider (ISP) for local dial-up access to the Internet. We do offer dedicated Internet connectivity such as fractional T-1 service. Consult our prices for more information.

Yes we do. We have 5 different shopping carts available, 2 of which are absolutely free to every customer. First our complimentary carts are MonsterCart, a simple easy to configure shopping card and Boutique, a single page only shopping cart. Additionally, we are proud to offer Miva Corporation's Miva Merchant and Miva Order. Miva Merchant is a very sophisticated shopping system allowing for up to 100,000 products in 1000 different categories. Its counter-part, Miva Order, which is offered with our Web Commerce Lite package is a slimmed down version of Merchant and allows for 25 products on a single page/category.

C I Host's Windows 2003 packages comes with Deep Metrix's Live Stats. Our Linux packages come free with Boutell's Wusage statistics.

All of C I Host's web hosting packages come with complimentary use of our shared SSL certificates. Each certificate uses 1024 bit security to ensure that every credit card submitted on your website is encrypted prior to the information being sent to you.

Yes, C I Host offers 33 free, pre-installed CGI-scripts on all of its Linux-based packages. These include FormMail, cgiemail, Guestbooks, WWWboard (bbs), and guest counters. Our Windows 2003 packages come with 6 pre-installed handy cgi-scripts.

C I Host does allow custom crons. However, these must be approved on a case-by-case basis by our support team. There will be an additional monthly cost depending on the complexity and the frequency of the program the cron is executing.

Yes. We backup your web directory daily on to our tape backup machines. Additionally, through MonsterControls you have the option to compress and backup your web files directly.

Yes. You will be able to access your domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.

New Linux accounts are set-up within 30 seconds from the time we receive your order. Once your account is set-up, you will be emailed your Account Login information (User ID, Password & FTP hostname) along with some useful URLs to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading files to your new website. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain registration or domain modification. Windows accounts generally take between 4-12 hours to configure and deploy.

Yes, if the account you choose includes SSH/SSH access. The standard gcc compiler is used.
